"The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers"

Shakespeare may have been a bit ahead of his time, according to a new article by rocker Ted Nugent posted at Human Events. In his "Sarah Palin Is My Girl" he expresses the thoughts many of us have -- there are too many lawyers in Washington. One would be too many, in my book.

We need fewer lawyers in Washington. Lawyers have created a masturbatory legal system by raping our justice system. It’s refreshing to see that neither Sen. McCain nor Gov. Palin is a lawyer. This could be a good start back towards an experiment in self-government. Count me in.
Attaboy, Nuge.

Palin made it clear that she is like the rest of us, noting how Fedzilla is bloated, broken, ineffective, and wasteful. Our professional politicians no longer work for us, but instead represent K Street bandit lobbyists. These scoundrels deserve our scorn, anger and contempt, and, quite honestly, a big, old pink slip, and Sarah appears to be the tough leader we seek to get the job done.

The level of disgust and distrust across America is appalling and, I believe, unprecedented. A recent poll indicated the Nancy Pelosi-led Congress’ approval rating is at an abysmal record low of nine percent. That it is even that high shows how clueless and disconnected the lunatic fringe is.

America needs more outsiders in Washington, D.C. now more than ever. We need more tough, standup hockey moms like Governor Sarah Palin. We need more ordinary Americans to springboard from small city councils to the halls of congress and beyond. We need welders, cops, teachers, ditch diggers, business people, construction workers, secretaries, auto mechanics, and guitar slingers to come to Washington, D.C. and replant the good old "We the People" tree.

Americans need to replace the professional politicians who have rigged and ruined the system to exclude ordinary citizens from participating in this experiment in self-government. My advice is to get angry and vote them all out. The professional punk politicians are the problem, not the solution.
Good reading. Read the whole article.

Sarah'Cuda Winged it: teleprompter broken during speech

From Redstate this morning comes this report saying the teleprompter didn't pause when it was supposed to during the 'Cuda's speech last night:

Halfway through Sarah Palin's speech tonight at the RNC, people following the speech noticed she was deviating from the prepared text.

According to sources close to the McCain campaign, the teleprompter continued scrolling during applause breaks. As a result, half way through the speech, the speech had scrolled significantly from where Governor Palin was in the speech. The malfunction also occurred during Rudy Giuliani's speech, explaining his significant deviations from his speech.

Unfazed, Governor Palin continued, from memory, to deliver her speech without the teleprompter cued to the appropriate point in her speech.

Contrast this to Barack Obama who, when last his teleprompter malfunctioned, was left stuttering before a crowd unable to advance his speech until the problem was resolved.

Sarah Palin. Winner.

As a Toastmaster and one who frequently has to give public presentations, I'm even more impressed now.

The lady has one more cajone than McCain and more than the obamessiah and hairplugs combined.

Unlike the lefty moonbats, we can laugh at ourselves

... and our pick for POTUS and VP. Enjoy. H/T Hot Air.

Debbie Schlussel: Wrong About Mrs. Mom

Debbie Schlussel seems to think she is the self-appointed defender of conservative values. In a column on her website this morning, she calls the Palins fake conservatives because of their untimely teen pregnancy and that Sarah should be the one at home raising the kids.

I will join the ranks of respectfully disagreeing with her on this issue. It's important that one biological parent is raising the kids, not a nanny or daycare.

I work out of my home, so I could be considered a house-husband (my wife works a full-time job) but I'm not giving up my testicles anytime soon. I can cook and clean with the best of them, but I also repair my own vehicles and go hunting with my gun and compound bow. I've never field-dressed a moose, but it sounds fun!

I don't think you can see the forest for the trees. The jury is still out on Palin's views of illegal immigration and islamofascism, but I suspect she'll have an impact on Juan McCain's views.
This is a victory for conservatives. Period. We need to go win the election and keep a dangerous man-child out of the white house.

There are plenty of other people to attack than one of our own. Save your vitriol for the messiah and the hairplug guy.

Sarah Barracuda: Slam Dunk

How could you not like the affable Sarah Palin, Republican VP candidate? Her speech tonight was brilliant, funny, entertaining, poignant... I think Joe Biden will have his hands full at the VP debate Oct. 2. Dhimmicrats better watch out.

Best line of the night:
"In politics, there are some candidates who use change to promote their careers. And then there are those, like John McCain, who use their careers to promote change."

Newsmax.com: Obama Had Close Ties to Top Saudi Adviser

On Newsmax.com today comes the disturbing news tying the obamessiah to the saudi royal family. Perhaps they even paid for his law school?

New evidence has emerged that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama was closely associated as early as age 25 to a key adviser to a Saudi billionaire who had mentored the founding members of the Black Panthers.

In a videotaped interview this year on New York’s all news cable channel NY1, a prominent African-American businessman and political figure made the curious disclosures about Obama.

Percy Sutton, the former borough president of Manhattan, off-handedly revealed the unusual circumstances about his first encounter with the young Obama.

“I was introduced to (Obama) by a friend who was raising money for him,” Sutton told NY1 city hall reporter Dominic Carter.

“The friend’s name is Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, from Texas,” Sutton said. “He is the principal adviser to one of the world’s richest men. He told me about Obama.”

Sutton, the founder of Inner City Broadcasting, said al-Mansour contacted him to ask a favor: Would Sutton write a letter in support of Obama’s application to Harvard Law School?

“He wrote to me about him,” Sutton recalled. “And his introduction was there is a young man that has applied to Harvard. I know that you have a few friends up there because you used to go up there to speak. Would you please write a letter in support of him?”

Sutton said he acted on his friend al-Mansour’s advice.

“I wrote a letter of support of him to my friends at Harvard, saying to them I thought there was a genius that was going to be available and I certainly hoped they would treat him kindly,” Sutton told NY1.

Sutton did not say why al-Mansour was helping Obama, how he discovered him, or from whom he was raising money on Obama’s behalf.

al-Mansour's has troubling ties to many anti-American interests, including the Black Panthers and muslim finance organizations.

Although many Americans have never heard of Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour (his full name), he is well known within the black community as a lawyer, an orthodox Muslim, a black nationalist, an author, an international deal-maker, an educator, and an outspoken enemy of Israel.

Experience: Palin(VP candidate) vs. Obama (POTUS candidate)

A brilliant comparison of Palin vs. the Obamessiah, head to head at JustSayNoDeal.com seals the deal. This is a long list of comparisons on many subjects.

In particular:

Executive experience:
Palin:Governor for 2 years, Mayor for 10 years.
Hussein, zip.

Reactions to spouse's political success (from the candidates' spouses):
Palin: Quit 17-year BP Oil job when BP became involved in natural gas pipeline negotiations with wife's administration.
Hussein: Promoted and given 160% pay raise by University of Chicago hospitals within months of husband's election to US Senate; Employer received $1 million federal earmark, requested by husband after her promotion.

In current office because:
Palin: Upset sitting Governor in GOP primary due to public support for her efforts to clean up corrupt government establishment.
Hussein: Republican opponent, who was leading in the polls, was forced to leave race after unsealing of divorce records (shortly before the election - how convenient) exposed a scandal.

Hope and change, indeed. Read the entire article.

Pouring it on: Mark Steyn's take on Palin

Five reasons why Palin is an outstanding pick for McCain's VP pick (from National Review's Mark Steyn):

First, Governor Palin is not merely, as Jay describes her, "all-American", but hyper-American. What other country in the developed world produces beauty queens who hunt caribou and serve up a terrific moose stew? As an immigrant, I'm not saying I came to the United States purely to meet chicks like that, but it was certainly high on my list of priorities. And for the gun-totin' Miss Wasilla then to go on to become Governor while having five kids makes it an even more uniquely American story. Next to her resume, a guy who's done nothing but serve in the phony-baloney job of "community organizer" and write multiple autobiographies looks like just another creepily self-absorbed lifelong member of the full-time political class that infests every advanced democracy.

Second, it can't be in Senator Obama's interest for the punditocracy to spends its time arguing about whether the Republicans' vice-presidential pick is "even more" inexperienced than the Democrats' presidential one.

Third, real people don't define "experience" as appearing on unwatched Sunday-morning talk shows every week for 35 years and having been around long enough to have got both the War on Terror and the Cold War wrong. (On the first point, at the Gun Owners of New Hampshire dinner in the 2000 campaign, I remember Orrin Hatch telling me sadly that he was stunned to discover how few Granite State voters knew who he was.) Sarah Palin and Barack Obama are more or less the same age, but Governor Palin has run a state and a town and a commercial fishing operation, whereas (to reprise a famous line on the Rev Jackson) Senator Obama ain't run nothin' but his mouth. She's done the stuff he's merely a poseur about. Post-partisan? She took on her own party's corrupt political culture directly while Obama was sucking up to Wright and Ayers and being just another get-along Chicago machine pol (see his campaign's thuggish attempt to throttle Stanley Kurtz and Milt Rosenberg on WGN the other night).

Fourth, Governor Palin has what the British Labour Party politician Denis Healy likes to call a "hinterland" - a life beyond politics. Whenever Senator Obama attempts anything non-political (such as bowling), he comes over like a visiting dignitary to a foreign country getting shanghaied into some impenetrable local folk ritual. Sarah Palin isn't just on the right side of the issues intellectually. She won't need the usual stage-managed "hunting" trip to reassure gun owners: she's lived the Second Amendment all her life. Likewise, on abortion, we're often told it's easy to be against it in principle but what if you were a woman facing a difficult birth or a handicapped child? Been there, done that.

Fifth, she complicates all the laziest Democrat pieties. Energy? Unlike Biden and Obama, she's been to ANWR and, like most Alaskans, supports drilling there.
Sixth (see Kathleen's link to Craig Ferguson below), I kinda like the whole naughty librarian vibe.

Naughty librarian. Hehe.

McCain/Palin visit troops in Iraq

Palin even visited injured soldiers in Landstuhl Germany, where the Obamessiah wouldn't go (without his cameras).

Another YouTube video, nicely done. If you don't want to watch the entire video, just watch the last 30 seconds about Hussein's views on the surge.

Palin on YouTube: Integrity/Leadership/Courage

Very nice. I have hope for America once again.

How could you NOT love a woman P candidate that likes to shoot automatic weapons, has gutted a moose, and almost won a beauty pageant! God Bless America.

Thoughts on McCain/Palin vs Obama/Biden

My wife's nephew, who works for the obamessiah campaign, says he thinks the Obamas are genuine.

If by genuine, you mean genuine Marxists, I believe he is correct. I believe we are defined by our associations, especially long-term ones.

The difference between McCain and Obama is that McCain's past is largely known and mostly public knowledge.

Why is Obama trying to downplay his _long-term_ past associations with America- and white-haters(Rev. Wright), with convicted criminals(Tony Rezko), with domestic terrorists(William Ayers), with communist sympathizers (Frank Marshall Davis), and his training by a socialist rabble rouser (Saul Alinsky)? For God's sake, he announced his candidacy in Ayers' living room! Doesn't sound like just a 'neighbor' who's kids play together. (BTW, Ayers' kids are all grown, doubt their kids play together).

Why is the Obama campaign (in a very organized way - see Politico) trying to shut down ANY criticism of Obama, rather than honestly answer the questions we have about his past?

My wife's nephew also thinks Biden will destroy Palin in the debates. I say the debates don't really matter to anyone who already follows the campaign.

Regarding the debates, the 1960 debate was the first televised debate. JFK was a pretty boy, much slicker than Nixon (much like Obama vs. McCain) on camera, and the public was taken aback by his attractiveness. I think America is smarter now, they want substance, which is why so many intelligent people don't support Obama. He's very smooth, very articulate, very good with a teleprompter, but when he's not making a prepared speech, he, uh, well, uh, he, he ...doesn't do very well.

And what Obama does say policy-wise, most of us don't want to hear:
  • We DON'T want more taxes to support a failed social agenda
  • we DON'T want to 're-distribute' income from the rich to the poor (at least, not thru a socialist government)
  • we DON'T want to 'penalize' big oil (other countries actually subsidize their oil producers!!)
  • we DON'T want to lay down and let the rest of the world run over us (politically, financially or militarily).
Even the previous messiah of the Democratic party, JFK, understood how tax cuts work to benefit the economy, creating jobs for the everyday joe. It's been said JFK would be part of the other party if he were in politics today. I really doubt it, but it is a reflection of how far left the Democrats have moved since the 1960's.

Better start working on plan B if you're an Obama supporter. Seriously. People want change, but we don't want the change to socialism and bigger government with its big spending.

It's going to be a tight race, only because of the support Obama gets from the gushing leftmedia. I have the tube on right now, and all the liberal syncophants are saying what a poor choice Palin is. They are hands down wrong. I don't think she'll pull many of the hard-core Hillary(who interned with Saul Alinsky as well) supporters, but McCain is appealing to who his own base SHOULD be -- conservatives.

Many, many conservatives who were going to sit this one out now don't have to be (as) drunk and hold their nose (as much) to pull the lever for McCain in Nov. Perhaps Palin can influence McCain into more conservative stances on immigration and the myth of global warming?

They're also saying Palin "isn't ready to be President." She has a year more experience as a politician than Obama, but her's is as an executive, not as a legislator. And she's more mainstream than Obama (or McCain, for that matter), sharing views with a majority of Americans outside the coastlines. She also has a reputation as a reformer and unimpeachable record (I've been following her for awhile).

If nothing else, the next couple of months should be interesting.

McCain/Palin - new hope for America?

McCain isn't the moron political strategist we thought. Picking Sarah Palin as his VP running mate is true brilliance, on many points:
  • She's a true conservative. She has a special needs child (born this year). She knows the true meaning of the sanctity of life, obviously anti-abortion.
  • She's a woman. If not outright stealing the Hillary supporters, McCain will sure make them think about voting for McCain/Palin.
  • She's really up-to-date on energy issues. She's pro-drilling in ANWR.
  • She's not afraid to take on establishment Republicans. She has been fighting corruption in her own party in her state.
  • She's not afraid to take on Washington. She's definitely a Washington outsider. She is suing the Federal Gov'mint over its designation of the polar bear as an endangered species.
  • She appears to be someone with real cajones, real principles, real morals.
In short, someone we need very badly.

Apparently, the timing of the announcement the morning after the obmessiah's Mt. Olympus speech is brilliant as well. The wires are buzzing with the noise of the pick, drowning out the resonance of BHO's acceptance speech last night.

I'm not sure of her stance on illegal immigration, but if her other stances are any indication, she should be right in line with other true conservatives.

Brilliant.

Bravo, John McCain. Bravo.

IBD: Media Blackout On A Far-Left Past

A post today at INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY reiterates what we've been sayin' all along: the obamessiah is a radical, anti-american, white-hatin' liberal, and the Leftmedia is mum.

Democrats in Denver tried to introduce Barack Obama as a moderate, whitewashing his radical past, and the media are helping them by following the fictional script.

On the eve of the Democratic National Convention, CNN, for one, aired an in-depth profile called "Obama Revealed." In fact, it revealed nothing except for CNN's bias.

The special, hosted by White House correspondent Suzanne Malveaux, started off by asking, "Who is Barack Obama?" — something not a few voters would like to know. It then let the presumptive Democrat nominee mostly answer the question "in his own words."

We learn he earned the nickname "Barry O'Bomber" on his high school basketball team, and that he was a "top student" at Harvard law school. Omitted from the saintly biography are hard truths about his radical ties. Voters hear nothing of his friendship with former Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers or the late black Communist poet Frank Marshall Davis.

There's no mention of the radical training he received from groups founded by the late socialist agitator Saul Alinsky, or how Obama later taught Alinsky's tactics as a college professor. (Connect the dots note: Hillary Clinton interned with Alinsky, so they're on par with one another.)

CNN glossed over his late Kenyan father's own radical politics by leaving it up to him to describe his "reputation."

"My father had this reputation as being this larger-than-life figure, charismatic, very smart, very engaging," Obama said, "and all those things were true."

It's also true that as a Nairobi bureaucrat, his father proposed a socialist economic plan for Kenya so radical it got him blackballed from the government. CNN left that part out, while also omitting Obama's recent support of Raila Odinga, a Communist-trained politician in Nairobi.

The one smudge in the network's otherwise glowing portrait — Obama's decades-long relationship with Rev. Jeremiah Wright — was quickly dispatched by noting he had distanced himself from his radically anti-American preacher. However, Obama's abiding faith in black liberation theology — a Marxist version of Christianity — was never even identified by the network.

CNN's coverage is par for the course. There's been a media blackout on Obama's radical past throughout the presidential campaign.

Take the story about his early mentor Davis, a known member of the Communist Party USA. No mainstream media reported on the relationship until Aug. 2, and that was only after IBD and a handful of conservative blogs weighed in on the controversy.

The Associated Press broke the silence with the article, "Writer offered a young Barack Obama advice on life." But it still does not tell the whole story. AP describes Davis as a "left-leaning black journalist" with "allegedly anti-American views" — when in fact, his Soviet allegiances and hatred for America are well documented in congressional reports and his own poems.

The Washington Post did AP one better. It managed to write an entire story on the controversy without identifying Davis by name. (It did have room to mention "the vast right-wing conspiracy" though.)

The establishment media have also ignored a long-lost article by Obama's father that reveals his communist leanings.

The 1965 paper by Barack Hussein Obama Sr., which called for Soviet-style expropriation and other extreme measures, was cited by Politico.com, a Web-based spin-off of the media elite in Washington. But it failed to quote any of his Marxist prescriptions, and in a shocking whitewash, concludes that "his central aim was moderate and conciliatory."

Many of these radical connections are cataloged in a new book, "The Obama Nation," which remains atop the national bestseller list. But CNN and other major news outlets have spent more time investigating its author than Obama, while parroting the Obama camp's line that the book is a "series of lies."

The Post in its coverage repeated word-for-word some of the talking points contained in a 40-page rebuttal of the book by Obama, essentially farming out the fact-checking to a political campaign.

It also noted that the book was being "pushed by conservative book clubs that buy in bulk to drive up sales," and that its publisher, Simon & Schuster, employs "former GOP strategist Mary Matalin" as an editor.

It's plain the media are protecting Obama from his radical past, insulating him from the kind of scrutiny voters need to make an informed choice in November. He got the same pass from the press running for the Senate. In fact, Obama in his latest autobiography said he couldn't believe his "good fortune."

"I was the beneficiary of unusually — and at times undeservedly — positive press coverage," he confessed in "The Audacity of Hope."

He skated into office then. Absent proper media vetting, he'll also skate into the Oval Office. But then that may be the plan.

Well said.

FWIW, much of this is also detailed in "The Case Against Barack Obama" a recently released volume. I recommend you read up and spread the word on the obamessiah.

Obamessiah's plan: total disarmament

I guess we'll be able to save all this money and give it to the po' folk. From the horses' mouth:

Rumors abound that the dhimmicrats are trying to get this pulled from YouTube. I haven't been able to substantiate that, but I'm guessing that ANY evidence of what BHO really stands for will be suppressed by the Leftmedia until after Nov. 4.

Batman and Rush: Why McCain will win

In this entertaining essay from the American Spectator, Jeffrey Lord discusses how Americans really choose the POTUS: gut instinct (or the reptilian brain):

This election has already been decided. It's over. The winner is John McCain.
Citing the popularity of Batman: The Dark Knight and Rush Limbaugh, Lord says the American public has a track record of selecting the "cowboy," the risk-taker, the man of action. Not the "thinker."

Why is Batman so popular? Why is Rush so popular? And what in the world does the popularity of either have to do with asserting as fact that Senator McCain has already won the presidential election over Senator Obama?

The answer is: you. "You" defined as a cultural American.

Batman is the cinematic (and comic book) personification of the way Americans like to see themselves.

Rush Limbaugh is the Batman of the airwaves.

While other cultures put a premium on thinking (the French) or order (the Germans), Americans want our presidents to respond just as we do in our culture -- with their gut.

A roll call of winners perceived by the voters of their day (in direct comparison to their opponents) as action oriented, candidates who fearlessly went with their gut, include Andrew Jackson, Lincoln, the two Roosevelts, Wilson, Truman, Ike, JFK, Reagan, Clinton and George W. Bush. The sharper the image of a candidate as a serious thinker, a man who hesitates or who is perceived more as a talker than a doer, the more certain his defeat -- as with a John Quincy Adams, a Thomas E. Dewey, an Adlai Stevenson, a McGovern, Dole, Dukakis, Gore, or Kerry.

And, my bet is, Obama.

Indeed. Read the entire article here.(h/t The Muslim Question)

Monday wisdom from The Gipper

“Our military strength is a prerequisite to peace, but let it be clear we maintain this strength in the hope it will never be used, for the ultimate determinant in the struggle that’s now going on in the world will not be bombs and rockets but a test of wills and ideas, a trial of spiritual resolve, the values we hold, the beliefs we cherish, the ideals to which we are dedicated.”

Lowerusgas.com a scam?

I just saw a commercial on CNN for a website called "lowerusgas.com." The commercial features a woman screeching "The oil companies are making record profits." It's a bit troubling, and completely misdirected, to blame the oil companies for high gas prices, and their profits are irrelevant, IMHO.

Forgive me for asking, but what the heck do you get for your 'membership?' Information? I can get that free by blogging on the internet.

There's no stated policy or goals of the organization, other than to 'stand up for Americans.' I also read their membership info, and politicians that have accepted more than $100 from energy companies and oil company executives need not apply. Hehe.

I can't tell what policy this group is advocating (like "Drill Here, Drill Now, Lower Prices"), if any, but it does appear they consider 'big oil' to be evil.

Looks like a not-so-well orchestrated scam to me. The writing on the website isn't particularly well done, the site is a bit disorganized. These guys are amateurs, but their empty rhetoric on the site may be just enough to get people to fork over their cold hard cash. After all, the Obamessiah's been doing it for some time now.

I'm keeping my $50, thank you.

Robert Spencer: Stealth Jihad or Hysteria?

In an article today at FrontPage magazine, Robert Spencer ponders whether the recent events at Tyson Foods in Tennessee are part of a greater 'stealth jihad' or a single, innocuous event.

During the recent Tyson Chicken controversy, I published an article at FrontPage in which I argued that Tyson and the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) should not have agreed to make Eid al-Fitr a paid day off for employees at the Tyson plant in Shelbyville, Tennessee, on the grounds that it set a bad precedent for accommodation of Islamic practices at a time when the Muslim Brotherhood is pressing forward a stealth jihad agenda of trying to impose Islamic Sharia law bit by bit and make American businesses and individuals grow used to the idea that Muslims must have special accommodation. (emphasis mine)

...The main problem -- and I didn’t make this fully clear in my FrontPage article, as I thought it was too obvious to mention -- is that Labor Day is an American holiday(emphasis mine) . Dropping an American holiday that we all share in favor of an Islamic holiday that only Muslims celebrate is just the opposite of what we should be doing for immigrants -- any and all immigrants. We should be expecting that if immigrants come here, they will become American. Not only does the taking away of Labor Day make that assimilation less likely, but it also prevents any Americans who may work at the Shelbyville Tyson plant from observing this American holiday if they wish to do so.

Tyson has now reinstated Labor Day in Shelbyville, and that’s all to the good. But the precedent has been set, and will certainly be followed in the future.
And why will it be followed in the future? Because of the Muslim Brotherhood agenda. That agenda, again, in their own words, is “a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”

That’s from “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Brotherhood in North America,” a 1991 presentation by Muslim Brotherhood operative Mohamed Akram.

It is a genuine initiative, and it encompasses many of the most influential Islamic groups in the U.S. -- many of which are named in the same memorandum, including the Muslim American Society, the Muslim Students Association, the Islamic Society of North America, and many others. It is proceeding not by terrorist attacks, but through a stealth jihad that has up to now consisted primarily of trying to compel American businesses and other institutions to make special accommodation for Islamic practices: workplaces have had to change their schedules to allow time for Islamic prayer, airports and universities have installed footbaths to accommodate Islamic ablutions, etc.

I can't imagine an American corporation or college making special accomodations to Christians for extra prayer breaks, a quiet, separate prayer room, etc.

It seems the liberal left, the mainstream media, and the jihadis all have something in common, the destruction of the capitalistic, democratic republic that we call the United States of America. For now, they may make good bedfellows. Sometime in the future, however, they will clash, over the islamist anti-gay agenda (gasp!), their anti-feminist agenda (gasp!) and their desire to regulate every aspect of our daily living, moving us back into their seventh-century barbaric culture.

American Thinker: Why Barack Obama will not win

From American Thinker comes this galvanized listing of why the Obamessiah can't win November 4 (h/t Bookworm Room):
  • Obama is too young and inexperienced, having exactly zero accomplishments in his personal, professional, academic and political lives
  • Obama is too liberal for mainstream Americans. His tax and spend politics may have been popular in the 1930's or '60's, but not now.
  • Obama is too race-conscious, which could be the final deciding factor. America is just fed up with the race-baiting, double-standard of the obamessiah campaign.
This, in a nutshell, is what we've been saying about BHO for some time now. He won't get elected in spite of the love affair with himself and the Leftmedia.

Monday wisdom from the Gipper

“I have always believed that America is strongest and freest and happiest when it is truest to the wisdom of its Founders. In Federalist 45, James Madison wrote that ‘The powers delegated by the Constitution to the Federal Government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State Government are numerous and indefinite.’ Or to put it another way, ‘We the People.’ As long as we remember these words—’We the People’ —and make them our guide, so long as we remember that America has always drawn its inspiration from the people and has always been governed best when governed most by those governments closest to the people, America will remain strong and free, the envy of the world.” —Ronald Reagan

The Obamessiah meets the Force

At last: a sign for the Obamessiah!

(h/t to Hot Air): The obamessiah movement hopes to have all their 'members' take up this sign, as an indication of who's part of the movement.

It's been suggested this sign might represent the size of your orifice AFTER the Obamessiah gets done raising taxes.

An alternative was suggested at Michelle Malkin's blog:

A suggestion was made on the Hot Air blog that this can become a part of another popular group of signs (in East LA, anyway):

First, his own version of the presidential seal, now this. What's next? His own religion?

Oh, I forgot. That's already started.

Anti-Islamist Book review: The Last Patriot by Brad Thor

Atria Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, just released "The Last Patriot" by Brad Thor.

The book's plot centers around a conspiracy by the islamists to prevent the discovery and release of muhammed's final chapters to the qu'ran, which were supposedly squelched by muhammed's assassination. The final revelation supposedly reveals a kinder, gentler islam, and the islamists want to suppress it because it will derail all they stand for.
Pure fantasy, I know, but the author weaves a credible plot with snippets of Thomas Jefferson, U.S. naval history and Cervantes' "Don Quixote" with a current anti-islamist theme. He even goes as far as naming the "Foundation for Islamic Relations (FAIR - rhymes with CAIR)" as a major participant in the plot. No punches pulled, here, no political correctness. I thoroughly enjoyed this book because it reveals the true nature of islam and the jihad.

Liberals would have you believe the source of the recent terrorism attacks on the USA are because of our government's "failed policy" overseas. As the rest of us are aware, jihad has been going on for hundreds of years against the USA and the west. See my post Islamic Jihad, 18th Century Style. Thomas Jefferson was well aware of the threat.

It also has a 'real man' as the lead character, a true American hero, something I'm sure Debbie Schlussel would enjoy reading. No girly men here.
I haven't read any fiction (except the New York Times) for many years, and I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

The author has been on the Glenn Beck show several times, and Beck has called him a 'dead man.' I urge you to read this book for some perspective on the threat of islam.

Just so you can separate the facts from the fiction, please understand the book is almost total fiction: the post 9-11 president in the book truly understands the threat of islam.

Obamessiah supporters surprised at McCain's surge in the polls

This paragraph from David Limbaugh says it all about the obamessiah campaign:

Obama's entire campaign theme is fraudulent. How can a man unite America when his views are so far out of line with average Americans for whom he has revealed unbridled contempt? How can he inspire America when he advertises his disdain for what he believes America has become?

Paris Hilton: See you at the debate, bitches...

Paris Hilton's comeback to Juan McCain's 'Obama the celebrity' ad. Probably old news by now, but very, very funny:

See more funny videos at Funny or Die

I'd vote for her, only because of the way she talks to, and about, the real candidates.

Either she has a really good writer and can read off a teleprompter like the Obamessiah, or she's really smart.

Either way, she's too skinny for us guys in the midwest. We like a little more meat on our women's bones.

Boycott Dhimmi Tyson Foods...

The management at Tyson Foods, distributors of many chicken products to the local grocer, have decided to not offer Labor Day as a paid holiday, but instead to offer an islamic day to accomodate the muslim (20 percent) faction of their workforce.

They also have prayer rooms so the muslims can pray during the workday without leaving the plant. Yikes. (h/t Debbie Schlussel) . Imagine if a Christian employee wanted to pray during the workday. He'd be ridden out of town on a rail.

Tyson Plant Drops Labor Day for Muslim Holiday
Tuesday, August 05, 2008

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. — Workers at a Tyson Foods poultry processing plant in Tennessee have opted to trade a paid Labor Day holiday for the Muslim celebration of Eid al-Fitr.

A 5-year contract approved by members of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union at the Shelbyville, Tenn., plant last November includes the change to accommodate Muslim workers.

"The negotiating committee made the holiday a top priority in contract talks," the union's Alabama and Mid-South Council Representative Randy Hadley said in a statement issued in June. "And we were able to get management to commit to it."
The change, which does not affect the company's 118 other plants, exchanges Labor Day for the Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan. The new contract, negotiated last fall, also gives Muslim workers a prayer room.

"Eid al-Fitr is one of eight paid holidays for all team members covered by the contract, while Labor Day is not a paid holiday," Gary Mickelson, Tyson's media relations director, told the Shelbyville Times-Gazette.

This is the beginning of the end. Muslims immigrate to this country and do not want to blend into our society. Their goal is simply to replace our democracy with their theocracy of death, destruction and domination, islamic sharia law.

Boycott Tyson products. Let them know you don't approve of their dhimmi attitude on dealing with these members of the 'religion of peace.'

Our country was founded on Christian ethics and traditions, not the ass-backward religion from the middle east. Ironic, as Debbie Schlussel says, that a labor union would vote to not get paid for the very holiday that celebrates their existence.

Vote with your pocketbook -- reject Tyson for their dhimmitude.

I'm just curious why it took nine months for this to come to light in the press? Read the rest of the article here at Fox News.

Obamessiah's recipe for recession

From the Patriot Post's Friday Digest:

It’s being called a “recipe for recession” that will produce “a remarkable reduction in work incentives for our most economically productive citizens.” In fact, according to Michael J. Boskin, Stanford University economics professor, senior fellow at the Hoover Institution, and former chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors, Barack Obama’s economic plan is evidence of “startling economic illiteracy.”

Under an Obama administration, taxpayers would witness the top 35 percent marginal income-tax rate jump to 39.6 percent and the tax cap blown off Social Security for individuals earning more than $250,000. Add this to Obama’s proposed phase-out of itemized deductions for high-income earners, and the result would be an increase in the combined marginal tax rate—from 44.6 percent to 62.8 percent—on every additional dollar earned. In short, after-tax income would plunge from 55.4 cents per dollar to only 37.2 cents.

To make matters worse, dividend rates would leap from 50.4 percent to 65.6 percent, with after-tax returns dropping over 30 percent—a combination that, according to Boskin, would “sooner or later... seriously damage the economy.”

Barack Obama has centered his campaign on change, and, indeed, if he is elected in November, taxpayers will be forking it over—lots of it.

Workers of the world unite! The proletariat will rise again!

Monday wisdom from the Gipper

“How can limited government and fiscal restraint be equated with lack of compassion for the poor? How can a tax break that puts a little more money in the weekly paychecks of working people be seen as an attack on the needy? Since when do we in America believe that our society is made up of two diametrically opposed classes—one rich, one poor—both in a permanent state of conflict and neither able to get ahead except at the expense of the other? Since when do we in America accept this alien and discredited theory of social and class warfare? Since when do we in America endorse the politics of envy and division?” —Ronald Reagan

Obama's Socialist World War on Poverty

A post today at IBDEditorials.com continues a series of the Obamessiah's planned policies to separate us from more of our money to aid the po' folk 'round the world.

Obama's Global Poverty Act offers us a global socialist destiny we do not want, one that challenges America's very sovereignty. The former "post-racial" candidate obviously intends to be a post-national president.

A statement from Obama's office says: "With billions of people living on just dollars a day around the world, global poverty remains one of the greatest challenges and tragedies the international community faces. It must be a priority of American foreign policy to commit to eliminating extreme poverty and ensuring every child has food, shelter and clean drinking water."

These are worthy goals, but note there's no mention of spreading democracy, expanding free trade, promoting entrepreneurial capitalism or ridding the world of despots who rule and ravage countries such as Zimbabwe and Sudan.

Obama would give them all a fish without teaching them how to fish. Pledging to cut global poverty in half on the backs of U.S. taxpayers is a ridiculous and impossible goal.

The article suggests this would cost each and every American taxpayer $2,500 and would lead to even higher oil and energy prices.

Obama's agenda sounds like defeated 2004 Democratic candidate John Kerry's "global test" for U.S. foreign policy decisions where "you have to do it in a way that passes the test — that passes the global test — where your countrymen, your people understand fully why you're doing what you're doing and you can prove to the world that you did it for legitimate reasons."

Obama has called on the U.S. to "lead by example" on global warming and probably would submit to a Kyoto-like agreement that would sock Americans with literally trillions of dollars in costs over the next half century for little or no benefit.

"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times . . . and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK," Obama has said. "That's not leadership. That's not going to happen."

Oh, really? Who's to say we can't load up our SUV and head out in search of bacon double cheeseburgers at the mall? China? India? Bangladesh? The U.N.?

In an Obama White House, American sovereignty will become an endangered species. The Global Poverty Act is the first toe in the water of global socialism.

With the Obamessiah at the helm. Can I get an amen?

Perhaps this will stem the global tide of all those people around the world that hate us.

Read the entire article, and plan to hold your nose and vote for Juan McCain come Nov. 4. We must avoid an Obama-nation at all costs!

Dingy Harry shut down by Republicans

In a bold, unprecedented move (by this class of Rinos), the Senate Republicans stopped a bill full of pork-barrel from proceeding through the process yesterday, instead demanding that Congress first act to reduce gasoline prices.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid rolled about three dozen bills into a hard-to-resist measure, dubbed it the "Advancing America's Priorities Act" and warned that its defeat would mean society's neediest would have wait until next year for the government's help.
What a great leader! Dingy Harry, so worried about his suffering people, proclaimed

"In the meantime, there will be much suffering and mental distress as a
result of not moving forward on these matters," the Nevada Democrat told his
Republican colleagues.

What about the suffering and mental distress on the entire nation of not being able to afford to drive to work, or worries that the Saudis and Venezuelans are buying up our country? Not a problem.

The article continues:

He predicted election-year consequences.
I agree. There will be "election year consequences," but in the reverse of what Reid is predicting: the Dhimmicrats should be shown the door if they don't do something about high gas prices and our country's security by allowing a vote to remove the ban on ANWR and offshore drilling.

Unfortunately, all the pundits are predicting a Dhimmicrat majority in both houses come fall, leaving the Rinos without enough votes to filibuster (an extreme tactic to prevent the other side from passing legislation).

The consequences could be disastrous for our country for a long time. Remember the lasting effect of the sixties & seventies? We're still paying that bill.

Hold your nose and vote Republican this fall.

Politics as usual at the Dispatch?

Yesterday morning, an article on the front page of the local fishwrap covered the FBI raids by nearly 200 agents of Cuyahoga politicians. Here's how the story ran:

Feds raid homes of Cuyahoma officials

The public-corruption investigation that paralyzed Cuyahoga County government Monday unraveled the political and business ties of the county's most powerful and colorful players: Commissioner Jimmy Dimora and Auditor Frank Russo.

The federal investigation centers on allegations that they traded jobs and contracts for thousands of dollars of free improvements to their homes and properties.
The investigation went public when nearly 200 agents from the FBI and IRS simultaneously raided county offices, businesses and homes at 9 a.m.

The operation was so broad that the FBI brought in agents from Pittsburgh and used three U-Haul trucks to take away cartons of documents and other items. Dimora and Russo, who have spent their political careers in the limelight, stayed out of sight all day and were not available for comment.

The nearly inseparable duo built a Democratic machine by hiring friends and allies, which is the subject of a continuing Plain Dealer investigative series. And the two have helped the party control every elected office in the county for decades, partly through Dimora's role as county Democratic Party chairman.

Notice they wait until the fourth paragraph to mention these goodfellas are dhimmicrats, nothing in the headline.

OTOH, on the cover of the Dispatch this morning:

SENATOR FACES FELONY COUNTS

Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens, the longest-serving Republican in Senate history, was indicted yesterday on charges that he did not disclose receiving more then $250,000 in gifts. (emphasis mine)

The article stub on the front page includes a headshot of the senator and a push over to page three.

Is it just me, or is this politics as usual at the local birdcage liner?

In journalism school, you learn about the inverted pyramid approach to the newswriting. Because articles can get edited to almost any length, your lead should be the strongest graph, followed by the next most important detail, then the next most important, etc. Apparently, the politicians democrats liberals editors at the Dispatch feel that one (alleged) crooked politician's party affiliation is a bit more important than another's?

Granted, this is a senator vs. a couple of local cronies in Cuyahoga County, and he supposedly is the longest-sitting Republican, but the Cleveland goodfellas have been doing this, according to their article, for a very long time.

Leftmedia once again? You decide.

Obamessiah: Economic Justice = socialism?

A post at Investors Business Daily Editorials details the Obamessiah's stealth socialism during this campaign season, based on a lifetime of socialist/communist training:

Before friendly audiences, Barack Obama speaks passionately about something called "economic justice." He uses the term obliquely, though, speaking in code — socialist code.

During his NAACP speech earlier this month, Sen. Obama repeated the term at least four times. "I've been working my entire adult life to help build an America where economic justice is being served," he said at the group's 99th annual convention in Cincinnati.

Democrat Barack Obama arrives in Washington on Monday. On the campaign trail, Obama has styled himself a centrist. But a look at those who've served as his advisers and mentors over the years shows a far more left-leaning tilt to his background — and to his politics.

And as president, "we'll ensure that economic justice is served," he asserted. "That's what this election is about." Obama never spelled out the meaning of the term, but he didn't have to. His audience knew what he meant, judging from its thumping approval. It's the rest of the public that remains in the dark, which is why we're launching this special educational series.

"Economic justice" simply means punishing the successful and redistributing their wealth by government fiat. It's a euphemism for socialism.

Very troubling are more details about the Obamessiah's ties to communist and socialist activists throughout his life, including:

The seeds of his far-left ideology were planted in his formative years as a teenager in Hawaii — and they were far more radical than any biography or profile in the media has portrayed.

A careful reading of Obama's first memoir, "Dreams From My Father," reveals that his childhood mentor up to age 18 — a man he cryptically refers to as "Frank" — was none other than the late communist Frank Marshall Davis, who fled Chicago after the FBI and Congress opened investigations into his "subversive," "un-American activities."

As Obama was preparing to head off to college, he sat at Davis' feet in his Waikiki bungalow for nightly bull sessions. Davis plied his impressionable guest with liberal doses of whiskey and advice, including: Never trust the white establishment.

...After college, where he palled around with Marxist professors and took in socialist conferences "for inspiration," Obama followed in Davis' footsteps, becoming a "community organizer" in Chicago.

His boss there was Gerald Kellman, whose identity Obama also tries to hide in his book. Turns out Kellman's a disciple of the late Saul "The Red" Alinsky, a hard-boiled Chicago socialist who wrote the "Rules for Radicals" and agitated for social revolution in America.

...Amid all this, Obama reunited with his late father's communist tribe in Kenya, the Luo, during trips to Africa.

As a Nairobi bureaucrat, Barack Hussein Obama Sr., a Harvard-educated economist, grew to challenge the ruling pro-Western government for not being socialist enough. In an eight-page scholarly paper published in 1965, he argued for eliminating private farming and nationalizing businesses "owned by Asians and Europeans."

His ideas for communist-style expropriation didn't stop there. He also proposed massive taxes on the rich to "redistribute our economic gains to the benefit of all."
"Theoretically, there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100% of income so long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed," Obama Sr. wrote. "I do not see why the government cannot tax those who have more and syphon some of these revenues into savings which can be utilized in investment for future development."

Taxes and "investment" . . . the fruit truly does not fall far from the vine.

You can bet BHO won't be sharing his own money with the po' folk.

Required reading for the educated conservative. Read the entire article here.

Again, I stress, as bad as Juan McCain seems to be, hold your nose and vote for McCain in November.

Illegal Immigration: Modern Day Slavery?

On today's Glenn Beck show, Beck discussed a NYTimes article detailed how hundreds of latinos were arrested in a raid on a meat processing plan in Iowa. Many of those arrested are underage, working in deplorable, unsafe conditions for long hours and low pay, with plenty of abuse heaped on them by their employers. Sounds like slavery to me!

Here's a link to the transcript.

An interesting point Beck makes is that the company was not mentioned in the article:

This is slavery and this is the most amazing thing in this story. So far 297 illegal immigrants from the raid in May have been convicted of document fraud and other criminal charges and most were sentenced to five months in prison after which they will be deported. Where is the line about the people who hired these people? Why are they not in prison for a year? Why does this company still have its doors open? This is slavery.
As he says, if it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck.

Henceforce, I will call 'illegal immigration' 'Modern Day Slavery.'

De-fund Sanctuary Cities (like San Francisco)

In his article today in FrontPageMagazine.com, Michael Reagan details the issues of Sanctuary cities like San Francisco:

Defund Sanctuary Cities
By Michael Reagan
FrontPageMagazine.com
Monday, July 28, 2008

Three good men are dead thanks largely to San Francisco’s outrageous sanctuary-city policy, which forbids city authorities from notifying federal immigration authorities when they arrest illegal aliens for crimes they commit, and it’s time for President Bush to crack down on all the cities in the United States that follow this absurd policy.

On June 22, Anthony Bologna and his sons Michael and Matthew were shot to death by Edwin Ramos, 21, after a brief traffic incident when Anthony Bologna allegedly briefly blocked Ramos' car from making a left turn, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Ramos, an alleged member of the vicious the Mara Salvatrucha gang, known as MS-13, should never have been around to kill the three men, and wouldn’t have been -- were not for the city’s sanctuary-city policy.

Ramos, an illegal immigrant, was found guilty of committing two felonies when he was 17 -- involving a gang-related assault of a Municipal Railway passenger and the attempted robbery of a pregnant woman -- yet was never surrendered by the city’s juvenile justice authorities to federal officials for possible deportation as required by federal law.Ramos was taken to juvenile hall on charges of assault and participating in a street gang, and was later convicted in juvenile court and put in a shelter. Under federal law, he should have been referred to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) but the Juvenile Probation Department's policy for dealing with offenders stipulated that "probation officers shall not discriminate in any fashion against minors based on their immigration status."

Typical liberal "protect the wrong side at all costs" rhetoric. Read the entire report here.

The Islamists are Comin' to our hometown...

In a series of reports on Central Ohioans Against Terrorism, journalist Patrick Poole covers the upcoming Islamic Society of North America(ISNA) convention coming in August to Columbus, Ohio.

Highlights include a steady stream of hate-spewing, Jew & Christian smearing, anti-American speakers, many with terrorist ties. Oh, boy!

DOJ: Facts tie ISNA to Hamas (7/24/08)

FBI Declassified Memo: ISNA conferences “provided opportunities for the extreme fundamentalist Muslims to meet with their supporters” (7/23/08)

Members of Congress ask DOJ to withdraw from 2007 ISNA convention (7/15/08)

HAMAS terrorist leader thanks ISNA (7/14/08)

Keep in mind this is nothing new. Our own Ohio State University has an extremely radical Muslim Student Association (MSA) and the OSU chapter of the Council on Islamic American Relations (CAIR).

I urge you to keep an eye on Patrick's blog and FrontPageMagazine.com for further terrorist activity in Columbus. Heaven knows the local fishwrap won't be giving anything but glowing coverage to the muslims when they're here.

Monday wisdom from the Gipper

THE GIPPER
“The Founding Fathers knew a government can’t control the economy without controlling people. And they knew when a government sets out to do that, it must use force and coercion to achieve its purpose. So we have come to a time for choosing. Public servants say, always with the best of intentions, ‘What greater service we could render if only we had a little more money and a little more power.’ But the truth is that outside of its legitimate function, government does nothing as well or as economically as the private sector.” —Ronald Reagan

Snappy Answers to Leftist Lies about Oil

From American Protest comes this nice little piece about why we need to Drill Here, Drill Now, Lower Prices:

Snappy Answers to Leftist Lies about Oil
By Thomas LindamanPosted: 07/18/2008

It’s one of the biggest news stories out there right now, one that directly impacts us on so many levels. If we don’t address this issue soon, we will be thrown into a depression that will take years to overcome. I’m speaking, of course, of the racy photos of Miley Cyrus circulating on the Internet.

Oh, and there’s that whole kerfluffle over oil prices.

Watching the news coverage and commentary about oil prices, it’s clear there’s more spinning going on than in Enrico Fermi’s lab, but I’m here to help. Whenever you have a Leftist spouting any of the lines you’re about to read, use the responses or a variation of them to confound and infuriate him or her.

1) We need to nationalize the oil industry. Remember the controversy over the horrible conditions at VA hospitals last year? The people responsible for that are who you’d be putting in control of the oil industry if you nationalize it. And let’s not forget that government isn’t subject to the laws of economics (or the laws of this country, for that matter…). When you have people who have no clue of how economics works with control over a vital resource, it doesn’t end well.

2) Oil profits are too high. This chestnut has been flying around for a while now, but it has no basis in fact. In reality, oil companies make between 6 and 8 cents off every gallon of gas sold, and they take all the risks to produce a gallon of gas. Government, on the other hand, takes several times more in taxation and takes no risk whatsoever. In other words, government makes a profit off oil companies for doing nothing, both in the production of oil, and in general.

3) Oil speculators are driving up the price of oil. Essentially, commodity speculation is betting that a particular commodity will be at a certain price at a certain time. However, that speculation in and of itself doesn’t drive the price up or down. It’s like betting on what the score will be in the Super Bowl. It doesn’t impact what the score is whatsoever, but it’s fun to try to be a commodity Carnac.

Iran now possesses 6,000 centrifuges for uranium enrichment

The AP is reporting this morning that Iran has 6,000 centrifuges for enriching uranium:

Iran now has 6,000 centrifuges for uranium
By ALI AKBAR DAREINI, Associated Press Writer

TEHRAN, Iran - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Saturday that Iran now possesses 6,000 centrifuges, a significant increase in the number of uranium-enriching machines in its nuclear program, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.

The new figure is double the 3,000 centrifuges Iran had previously said it was operating in its uranium enrichment plant in Natanz.

"Islamic Iran today possesses 6,000 centrifuges," Ahmadinejad told university professors in the northeastern city of Mashhad.

Of course, in a country rich with oil and potential for solar power, they need nuclear energy to generate electricity. Riiiiggghhhttt.

GW: Call Congress back to vote on offshore drilling

A post at IBD Editorials suggests that GW should do what Harry S. Truman did with a do-nothing Congress: invoke the Constitution and call them back to Washington to vote on offshore drilling.

Call Congress Back To Vote On Drilling
By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY Posted Friday, July 25, 2008 4:20 PM PT

Leadership: When it comes to giving relief at the pump by drilling for more oil, this is truly a "do-nothing" Democratic Congress. President Bush should give 'em hell like Harry Truman did.

Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution states that the president "may, on extraordinary occasions, convene both houses" of Congress. On more than two dozen occasions in our history, presidents have done just that, forcing the Senate and House of Representatives to meet on extraordinary matters of defense or economic peril.
Sixty years ago this month, President Truman called such a special session to shame into action what he labeled a "do nothing" Republican Congress. He dubbed it the Turnip Day Session, because of the day on which it began. According to folklore in Truman's native Missouri, "On the 25th of July, sow your turnips, wet or dry."
Congress refused to do Truman's bidding in the session, but the bold move saved the president's political skin. He defied the odds that November and was re-elected — largely because the public came to view the 80th Congress as in the grip of a cowardly paralysis.

As the article suggests, it would help consumers and the economy, build a better brand image for the Republicans, and put the dhimmicrats in their place. Call 'em back, GW!

Big Surprise: Saudi textbooks still preach anti-Western hate

An article posted yesterday at Investors Business Daily Editorials cites a new study by the Hudson Institute that anti-Western rhetoric is rampant in their schoolkids' textbooks. Surprise!

Textbook Terrorism

Islamofascism: A new study confirms our "ally" Saudi Arabia is still poisoning young Muslim minds with anti-Western textbooks. So? Its hate-filled graduates are enrolling at our colleges.

The Hudson Institute reviewed the 2007-08 textbooks distributed by the Saudi Ministry of Education and found that, despite promised reforms, the kingdom still teaches students to "hate the infidels."

According to their website, the "Hudson Institute is a non-partisan policy research organization dedicated to innovative research and analysis that promotes global security, prosperity, and freedom. "

The texts assert that it's "permissible" for a Muslim to kill an "apostate," an "adulterer," a "homosexual," as well as non-Muslims practicing "polytheism," or Christianity.

The violent ideology is introduced in a religion textbook in the first grade and reinforced and developed in following years of the public education system, culminating in the 12th grade where a text instructs students that it's their religious duty to do battle against infidels in order to spread Islam.

The 12th-grade book glorifies "martyrdom" as "noble" and defines "jihad" as an "effort to wage war against the unbelievers." Jihad, it asserts, is the "pinnacle of Islam."

Many of these jihad-infused 12th-graders are flooding U.S. campuses right now, thanks to a post-9/11 "good will" gesture by the White House to reward more than 20,000 young Saudi men with student visas. King Abdullah had asked for the deal and got it — in part because he promised to reform the textbooks.

The curriculum is not confined to the kingdom; the oil-rich Saudi government is exporting it far and wide.

They really don't need to worry about distributing their textbooks -- they just reflect what's in the Qu'ran. See Robert Spencer's The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades). It's been well-documented how the Saudis are founders of the Muslim Brotherhood, the source for most of the islamic anti-western rhetoric in the world.

Obamessiah Gaffes from IBD

Investor's Business Daily has an interesting piece posted yesterday about all of the Obamessiah's gaffes.

Barack's Obama-isms
By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY
Posted Thursday, July 24, 2008 4:20 PM PT

Media: The gaffes Barack Obama has committed would have crushed the typical Republican politician. But the reporters who can't get over Dan Quayle's misspelling of "potato" have little to say about their man's slip-ups.

Sometimes it's hard to tell if Obama is really fouling up or simply puffed up when he tries to live up to his media-fed image as a leader ready for prime time.

...While the media have ensured that Obama's communication skills are now widely viewed to be impeccable, it's obvious that when the man doesn't have a teleprompter in front of him, he tends to mangle both facts and language.

How else to explain his "Face The Nation" comment that the leaders he would meet in the Middle East and Europe are the ones "who I expect to be dealing with over the next eight to 10 years"?

Had a Republican candidate said that, he'd have been suspected of some dark plan to shred the Constitution and institute martial law.

Indeed.

Obamessiah on the Holocaust

In the fawning lovefest of the Obamedia yesterday in Israel, some reporter had the audacity to ask the Obamessiah (h/t Debbie Schlussel):

"Senator can you assure Israel that there will be no second Holocaust despite Iran's threat to wipe us off the map?" he asked.

Obama demurred, saying that it wasn't appropriate to answer the question there.
"This is Yad Vashem!" the journalist responded.

Obama said he would answer the question at a later press availability.

Yad Vashem is the Israeli Holocaust museum, and so far, the Obamessiah hasn't answered the question.

You may have heard there is little man named Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who has vowed the destruction of Israel via nuclear weapons, in a tiny little powerless country called Iran. A man that wants to end all Christian and Jewish civilization. A man the Obamessiah said he would meet with unconditionally.

The leader of the most powerful nation on Earth cannot hesitate to answer an unequivocal "yes" to this question. This man has NO business in a job for which he is unqualified.

Scary. Very scary.

Oh, by the way, as much as we conservatives dislike Juan McCain, here was his response:

John McCain initiated the conversation about a second Holocaust, brining(sic) it up himself and saying he'll assure it won't happen. Barack Obama had to be asked, and he still couldn't bring himself to answer.
Conservative voters, you CANNOT sit this one out! As much as we despise the idea of a RINO POTUS for the next four years, anything is better than this douchebag.

My question for the hesitation: was it because he doesn't think Israel deserves to survive (as any good-thinking closet mooslim should think), or is he afraid to stand up and defend our ally?

If either of these reasons is correct, it's just wrong. Very wrong.

UPDATE: Just noticed an interesting quote on Debbie Schlussel's site on this post:

Before he got to Israel, don't ever, ever forget what he wrote in his book: From Audacity of Hope - 'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'

God help us.

So Bill Clinton was the first black president, the Obamessiah will be the first mooslim president.

Troubling message from the family of a soldier

I published a post recently from an officer in Afghanistan about how the obamessiah had dissed the troops, walking past the regular troops to meet with the generals and the media. Didn't stop to meet and greet, didn't even look their way.

I received a request from his family to remove the post, for the safety and privacy of his family. I am complying with that request.

To the officer and his family: please understand that I have the utmost respect and gratitude for your service to our country. Be safe, and by all means, if there is anything your men or your family needs, please contact me. I'll do whatever I can to help.

For the record, I want to make a note of what an asshat the obamessiah is for his actions, but those actions are typical of the dhimmicrat elite.

God help us if this shitheel gets elected POTUS.

Israelis Not Fooled: Only 57 members in Obamessiah fan club

An article at Debblie Schlussel today indicates that the Obamessiah has wide support of the Israelis... er, not really. His group includes only 57, and only six of them live in Israel:

Israel Not Fooled: Israelis For Obama Has Just 57 Members--Only 6 Live in Israel

So, Barack Hussein Obama is on a world tour that, today, includes Israel. So, he's doing the obligatory photo ops at various Jewish religious sites to pretend he's really not as anti-Israel as his years of association with Edward Said, Ali Abunimah, Louis Farrakhan, and Rev. Jeremiah Wright tell us. Ditto for his multiple Nation of Islam staffers and desire to meet and negotiate with Iran--Israel's most lethal enemy--without preconditions.

Well, guess what? Contrary to the host of American Jews falling for and supporting this fraud, smart Israelis ain't buyin'. They're no dummies. They know this is a BS photo-op diplomacy trip by a man who really doesn't wish them well, but very desperately wants to become Prez.

The Left's Conspiracy to Kill Free Speech... er.. Talk Radio

In today's GrassTopsUSA.com Action Alert, Don Feder discusses the Liberal Left's potential reinstatment of the (un)Fairness Doctrine (FD), or possibly something worse - the Obamessiah's desire to eliminate free speech.

After eight years in the wilderness, the left expects a clean sweep in the 2008 election -- the presidency (and with it the federal bureaucracy) and larger majorities in both houses of Congress.

Looking ahead, liberals are determined to derail potential opposition to their plans to accelerate the deconstruction of America. Consequently, they have targeted talk radio. Bringing back the Fairness Doctrine is just one facet of their scheme to eviscerate the only part of the media controlled by conservatives.

Crucial to an understanding of the jihad against talk radio is this: The left will do anything to gag its opponents. From the college campus to the halls of Congress (think campus speech codes, think hate crimes legislation, think speech-suppression zones surrounding abortion clinics), liberals are the chief proponents of censorship in America.

How would the Fairness Doctrine affect talk radio?

Ah, the Fairness Doctrine -- the left's weapon of mass media destruction scheduled to detonate over talk radio. The FCC instituted said doctrine in 1949, when talk radio was 30 years in the future, television (limited to three or four channels) was just becoming popular and daily newspapers were the primary source of political opinion.

The Fairness Doctrine (which is anything but) required balance -- a "reasonable opportunity for ample play for free and fair competition of opposing views ... (for all) issues of importance to the public." In practice, it meant that if a TV or radio station say editorialized in favor of one side of an issue, it had to provide equal time to the other side.

In 1987, the Reagan FCC repealed the grotesque anachronism. Now, the left is panting to bring it back.

This is how the Fairness Doctrine would be applied to talk radio: If a station broadcast three hours of Rush Limbaugh -- or Sean Hannity or Bill O'Reilly or Dr. Dobson -- in the afternoon, it would have to provide equal time to The Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright, Father Michael Pfleger or Osama bin Laden.

The problem is no one would listen to the later, hence it would sell no advertising and talk stations would very quickly switch to sports, weather, pet psychologists or 1970s' elevator music -- exactly what the left intends.

The Federal Communications Commission is comprised of five individuals -- two from each party, and a fifth appointed by the POTUS. Yet another reason for the American Conservative to hold his nose and vote for McCain November 4. Centrist though he may be, I don't think McCain would support reinstating the FD.

What about the Obamessiah? His position is that he doesn't support the FD. Instead, he would give control of the airwaves back to local communities and control ownership of stations. He would force local stations to meet with review boards of local communities to discuss their content.

The Senator claims he's opposed to reinstating the Fairness Doctrine. If so, it's because he has something more ominous in mind.

Obama Press Secretary Michael Oritz says the candidate "considers this debate (over the Fairness Doctrine) to be a distraction from the conversation we should be having about opening up the airwaves and modern communications to as many diverse viewpoints as possible... That is why Sen. Obama supports media-ownership caps, network neutrality, public broadcasting, as well as increased minority ownership of broadcast and print outlets."

...Once you cut through the soothing Obama cliches, his plans for talk radio are chillingly apparent.

When the left says "diverse viewpoints," it means "our viewpoints." It wants diversity only where it's in the minority. Have you ever heard of liberals complaining about the lack of political diversity on college faculties?

Obama's objective in "opening up the airwaves to as many diverse points of view as possible" is putting doctrinaire leftists on boards of directors and installing them as program directors and in other management positions. He wants programming decisions made not by market forces but based on ideological considerations.

Some critics of talk radio want a shorter renewal period for broadcast licenses. They would force broadcasters to prove that they're "operating in the public interest" -- by meeting regularly with "community spokesmen," incorporating their recommendations in programming decisions and putting representatives of various leftwing interest groups in charge of what goes out over the airwaves.

...The foregoing amounts to stealth Fairness. It makes sense that, in anticipation of its new clout in Washington, the left is intent on silencing the opposition.

When you cast a presidential vote in November, you won't just be voting on federal judges or the future security of our nation, you'll also help to decide the fate of talk radio -- a medium that's gone from 360 stations in 1990 to over 1,300 today.

Well said. I'm not a McCain fan, but the Obamessiah scares me. Not necessarily the Manchurian Candidate, but not too far off. Vote for McCain unless you want another generation of 'fairness' in our media.

Media malaise: no jokes about Obamessiah

In an article in the Columbus fishwrap (can't find it on their website) this morning from the New York Times News Service, writer Bill Carter laments that Obamessiah has no funny side:

"Comedy has been no easier for the phalanx of late-night TV hosts who depend on skewering political leaders for a healthy quotient of their monologues."

"...As yet, no true punch lines have landed."

"Why? the reason cited by most of those involved in the shows is that a fundamental factor is lacking in Obama: A comedic "take" on him, an easy path to an easy laugh, hasn't emerged -- as with the womanizing side of Bill Clinton, the goofy bumbling of George W. Bush or the robotic persona of Al Gore."

Not mentioned in the article is the fact that the leftmedia doesn't want to tarnish the image of their obamessiah. I'm sure they have a "kid gloves" policy to leave their golden boy alone.

In another 'funny' piece on the back page of the fishwrap is an article from The Borowitz Report (also mentioned in today's Patriot Post):

THE LAST WORD
Editor’s Note: The following is satire.

“Saying he is ‘sympathetic to late night comedians’ struggle to find jokes to make about me,’ Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill) today issued a list of official campaign-approved Barack Obama jokes.

The five jokes, which Sen. Obama said he is making available to all comedians free of charge, are as follows:

  1. Barack Obama and a kangaroo pull up to a gas station. The gas station attendant takes one look at the kangaroo and says, ‘You know, we don’t get many kangaroos here.’ Barack Obama replies, ‘At these prices, I’m not surprised. That’s why we need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil.’
  2. A traveling salesman knocks on the door of a farmhouse, and much to his surprise, Barack Obama answers the door. The salesman says, ‘I was expecting the farmer’s daughter.’ Barack Obama replies, ‘She’s not here. The farm was foreclosed on because of subprime loans that are making a mockery of the American Dream.’
  3. A horse walks into a bar. The bartender says, ‘Why the long face?’ Barack Obama replies, ‘His jockey just lost his health insurance, which should be the right of all Americans.’
  4. Q: What’s black and white and red all over? Barack Obama: ‘The New Yorker magazine, which should be embarrassed after publishing such a tasteless and offensive cover, which I reject and denounce.’
  5. A Christian, a Jew and Barack Obama are in a rowboat in the middle of the ocean. Barack Obama says, ‘This joke isn’t going to work because there’s no Muslim in this boat’.” —Andy Borowitz

I'm issuing a Fatwa to come up with good Obamessiah jokes (non-racial). I'm sure we can come up with some, but I'll be willing to bet the Leftmedia will never publish anything remotely funny or truly critical.

Monday wisdom from the Gipper

“We know that peace is the condition under which mankind was meant to flourish. Yet peace does not exist of its own will. It depends on us, on our courage to build it and guard it and pass it on to future generations. George Washington’s words may seem hard and cold today, but history has proven him right again and again. ‘To be prepared for war,’ he said, ‘is one of the most effective means of preserving peace.’ Well, to those who think strength provokes conflict, Will Rogers had his own answer. He said of the world heavyweight champion of his day: ‘I’ve never seen anyone insult Jack Dempsey’.” —Ronald Reagan

Friday wisdom from The Gipper

“Since when do we in America believe that our society is made up of two diametrically opposed classes—one rich, one poor—both in a permanent state of conflict and neither able to get ahead except at the expense of the other?” —Ronald Reagan

(answer: since the Democrats have been in power - CTD)

Financial Terrorism on our markets?

In an opinion piece on Investor's Business Daily , Frank Ryan raises the issue: are our markets being manipulated by terrorists?

It only makes sense, in light of the global jihad going on against Western Civilization. The islamists are attacking us militarily, socially, and legally, why not financially?

Congress is investigating oil speculators, bank stocks are being pummeled, and housing prices are dropping precipitously in certain markets. And this is the good news.

I was always taught in my graduate and undergraduate classes that markets are rational, but after looking at the current market valuation of bank stocks, one must seriously consider if our markets are being manipulated.

It would be reasonable to question whether the U.S. is being subjected to an economic attack.

...The terrorists' goal is not to conquer us, but to defeat our way of life. If we limit the tools available to al-Qaida in our financial markets, the success of this type of economic attack would be minimized.

The threat is real. The solutions are realistic. The time is now.

The only contention I have with Ryan's article is the use of 'al-Qaida' as the source. I think that's a bit naive, unless you Connect the Dots from the Saudi royal family/Muslim Brotherhood/Wahhabists to AQ, which makes more sense. They have plenty of funding to attack us financially, thanks to our reliance on OPEC oil. We're directly funding the very people who want to put us out of commission.

Obama's Real Experience: a big goose egg

In an article on NewsMax yesterday, Ronald Kessler details the massive results the Obamessia obtained as a leader, an activist, a lawyer, an Illinois state senator, and a U.S. Senator: exactly none.

A close look at Barack Obama's career reveals it has been even more mediocre than generally recognized.

...Obama admitted that he accomplished little but that he was able to cover that up with fancy talk about change.

In the article, Kessler discusses BHO's experience:

  • As an activist to clean up a black housing project in Chicago, BHO greatly exaggerated his involvement in a fight that was begun well before he was there, and continues unsuccessfully today (the project still has a significant amount of asbestos)
  • As an attorney, in his nine years he has only ten court appearances and was mostly a pencil pusher working in groups of lawyers, drafting briefs and contracts
  • In both the Illinois senate and U.S. senate, BHO has a record for voting only "present," a non-committal vote that accomplishes nothing. Only one measure he sponsored as a senator was enacted, a weak resolution a bill to “promote relief, security, and democracy in the Democratic Republic of Congo.” Big whoop.

As Kessler says:

In sum, it would be difficult to imagine a more mediocre record. Most candidates for dog catcher have contributed more to society. Yet with the help of adoring reporters, Obama has managed to parlay extraordinary speaking and political skills into a presidential campaign built on sand.

The idea that America might entrust its security and future to someone who has never demonstrated an ability to get anything of significance done is scary.

I've said it before: be afraid. Be very afraid. We don't need an ineffective pencil-pusher with his heads in the Marxist clouds running our country. Let's hope McCain uses this to his advantage.

Democrats want you to pay MORE for gasoline

A bulletin from GrassTopsUSA.com summed up the actions Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are taking to help you at the gas pump: none!

They are attempting to raise oil prices, increases taxes, and make more poor people yearning for their govvamint Robin Hood style (take from the 'rich' and give to the 'poor') handouts.

After GW's announcement that he would lift the executive ban on offshore drilling, letting oil companies get at the vast supplies of American oil, Harry Reid said he would do whatever it takes to block amendments that would lift the ban, in direct opposition to the wishes of the American people:

"House and Senate Democratic leaders plan to bring energy legislation to the floor this week, using procedural tactics designed to block Republicans from offering amendments that would lift the drilling ban."

"In the Senate, Democrats hope to take up as early as Wednesday a still-un-drafted bill that would tighten regulation of speculation in energy futures, which some lawmakers contend adds as much as 30 percent to the price of crude oil.

"Majority Leader Harry Reid , D-Nev., said he would block any effort to propose amendments to the bill that did not deal directly with the speculation issue."

According to a number of recent polls, citizens are fed up with the game-playing in Congress:

  • Rasmussen, June 17: 67% Favor, 18% Oppose ("67% Support Offshore Drilling, 64% Believe It Will Lower Prices")
  • Reuters/Zogby, June 18: 60% Favor, 40% Oppose ("Most Americans support more oil drilling")
  • Gallup Poll, June 19: 57% Favor, 41% Oppose ("Majority of Americans Support Drilling Off-Limits Areas")
  • Pew Research Center, July 2: 57% Favor, 41% Oppose ("As Gas Prices Pinch, Support for Energy Exploration Rises")

Apparently, the data from the polls shows even liberals wanting to drill.

Meanwhile, the liberal Dhimmicrats in our do-nothing congress are trying to pass bills to raise taxes (Boxer climate bill).

When are they going to get a clue? We elect them, yet they don't do what we ask. And they don't get why their approval rating is nine percent (the lowest rating since they started tracking that sort of thing!).

Perhaps its time for another civil war. Let's tar and feather these goofballs and run them out of town on a rail.
