Illegal Immigration: Modern Day Slavery?

On today's Glenn Beck show, Beck discussed a NYTimes article detailed how hundreds of latinos were arrested in a raid on a meat processing plan in Iowa. Many of those arrested are underage, working in deplorable, unsafe conditions for long hours and low pay, with plenty of abuse heaped on them by their employers. Sounds like slavery to me!

Here's a link to the transcript.

An interesting point Beck makes is that the company was not mentioned in the article:

This is slavery and this is the most amazing thing in this story. So far 297 illegal immigrants from the raid in May have been convicted of document fraud and other criminal charges and most were sentenced to five months in prison after which they will be deported. Where is the line about the people who hired these people? Why are they not in prison for a year? Why does this company still have its doors open? This is slavery.
As he says, if it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck.

Henceforce, I will call 'illegal immigration' 'Modern Day Slavery.'
