WTF? schoolkids asked to sign 'Gay' pledge

OneNewsNow reports about California kindergarteners being given a 'homosexual pledge card' to not use any slurs, talk against homosexuals, and stand up for homosexual students.

WTF??!

The pledge cards were produced by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education
Network, or GLSEN, and featured oaths that students would not use "anti-lesbian,
gay, bisexual and transgender language or slurs," that students would intervene
on behalf of homosexual students when possible, and that they would actively
support safer schools efforts. Tara Miller is a kindergarten teacher at
Faith Ringgold School of Arts and Science in Hayward, California. She passed out
the pledge cards to her students, which she then asked them to sign. Peter
LaBarbera, the president of Americans for Truth about
Homosexuality
, is outraged at Miller's actions.

In the same report on FoxNews.com, a spokesperson for the school agreed
that the pledge was inappropriate for the kindergarten students and said that
the pledges were meant for middle school and high school students.

That's much better. No student should be exposed to this garbage.

***UPDATE: The complete story from Foxnews.com.
Are you as outraged as I am? Be sure to talk to your kids every day about what they're learning in school. Read their textbooks, especially history, and watch for any 'special' visitors to their schools to talk to the kids. If something like this happens in my local school district, you can be sure I will petition for equal time in front of the kids to promote a conservative agenda.

Maryland Board of Education: OK to teach ONLY homosexual agenda

The homosexual agenda in its finest moment: indoctrinate the kids in the 'normalization' of homosexuals. From the Washington Post (H/T to American Family Association Action Alert), the state board of education says it's okay to teach ONLY one side of the agenda: homosexual behavior is okay. The worst part is, they think the state's right to educate supercedes the rights of the individual parent to have a say in their education.

Md. State Board Approves County's Sex-Ed Curriculum
By Daniel de Vise

The Maryland State Board of Education has ruled in favor of a sex-education curriculum adopted last month for use in Montgomery middle and high schools, finding nothing illegal in the new lessons on sexual orientation and condom use, school officials said yesterday.

In a 17-page June 27 opinion, the state panel declined to "second guess the appropriateness" of the curriculum approved by the Montgomery County Board of Education. Instead, the state panel said it could reverse the county's action only if it violated the law. And after reviewing more than a dozen claims alleged by curriculum opponents, the state board found no violation.

Just because some liberal cross-dressing psychologists in the 1960's declared homosexual behavior as okay, and Congress added it to the civil rights protection, doesn't mean we have to swallow this.

Take Action
Send an e-mail to the president of the Maryland Department of Education and to the Governor of Maryland.

If you have children in public schools, ask the local superintendent if they have a sex-education program. If so, request an opportunity to review the curriculum.
Please forward this to your family and friends.

Ford Support for Gays UP, Sales Down

From the American Family Association: Ford is actively supporting homosexual agendas (not that there's anything wrong with that), and is being rightly rewarded. Praise from the homosexual community, and a drop in sales.

The boycottFord.com website lists the following:
  • Obviously, Ford thinks those who do not support homosexual marriage are not "inclusive and respectful". The campaign's top gift of $500,000 came from Allan Gilmour, former vice chairman of Ford Motor Company and was chairman of the Ford Motor Company Fund when gifts to homosexual organizations were made. • Ford held the first automotive conference aimed at bringing diversity to the car industry. "Diversity" is a code word for homosexuality. By defining themselves as a minority such as African-Americans, homosexual activists seek to bolster their claims of needing special treatment. Encouraged by Ford, more than 100 multinational companies attended the meeting which, according to 365Gay.com, included a goal of "broadening the number of LGBT workers in the field." Read More
  • Ford was given a 100% score on last year's Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index. Ford was the only automaker and the largest corporation to get this score. HRC Report
Ford has been on the DiversityInc "Top 50 Companies for Diversity" list in each of the four years the rankings have been published. Read More
  • Ford actively recruited homosexuals for employment by advertising on gay job websites. Read More
Ford hired a D.C. marketing firm to target the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender market and developed a plan to involve Ford in the day-to-day business of selling vehicles worldwide to gay and lesbian customers.Read More Portfolio
  • Ford was an executive sponsor of the 2004 "Out & Equal Workplace Summit Conference." The purpose of the event was to advance the homosexual agenda, including homosexual marriage, in major corporations.
  • Ford donated to the Michigan Gay Pride March a red Mustang Cobra convertible. This was the first time an auto manufacturer has donated a vehicle for the Michigan Gay Pride Parade. Read More
  • Ford has been an "Emerald Sponsor" of Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians & Gays (PFLAG), a national organization promoting the homosexual lifestyle including homosexual marriage.
  • Ford has been an annual sponsor of the "Reaching Out MBA Conference" that promotes the education, visibility, and networking capabilities of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender business leaders in the United States and around the globe.

A bill in Congress could make it a crime for pastors and churches to speak against homosexuality

From the American Family Association:

Message to pastors and other Christians: Just keep your mouth shut

If pastors and other Christians don’t aggressively oppose a bill now in Congress, in the near future they could be subject to huge fines and prison terms if they say anything negative about homosexuality. The proposed law could make it a crime to preach on Romans Chapter 1 or I Corinthians Chapter 6. Or even to discuss them in a Sunday School class. If churches and individuals want to keep the government from telling them what they can and cannot preach and teach about homosexuality, they better get involved now!

Senate bill S. 1105 could make negative statements concerning homosexuality, such as calling the practice of homosexuality a sin from the pulpit, a “hate crime” punishable by law. This dangerous legislation could take away your freedom of speech and your freedom of religion. Consider what has already happened: A California lawsuit which is headed to the U.S. Supreme Court would make the use of the words “natural family,” “marriage” and “union of a man and a woman” a “hate speech” crime in government workplaces. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has already ruled in favor of the plaintiffs!

CNN and The Washington Post both reported that General Peter Pace, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was fired because he publicly expressed moral opposition to homosexual behavior.

Take Action

We are looking for one million Americans willing to take a stand and not allow a small group of homosexual activists to take away our freedoms. Can we count on you? Click on the link below to sign our Petition to Congress in Defense of Religious Freedom. Please forward this to others, especially your pastor, and ask them to get involved in protecting our freedoms of speech and religion. This threat to our religious freedoms is real!
